U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrested Brazilian national Felipe Linares De Oliveira Dell Aquilla, known as “Don,” on Monday (15). Authorities identify him as a former leader linked to Brazil’s notorious criminal organizations, the First Capital Command (PCC) and the Red Command (Comando Vermelho).
According to law enforcement officials, Dell Aquilla was the subject of an international arrest warrant issued through Interpol and is wanted in Brazil on charges including criminal association and extortion.
The arrest took place in Mooresville, North Carolina, during a traffic enforcement operation. Authorities reported that the suspect attempted to evade officers and fled by vehicle, allegedly heading toward the Mexican border.
Following a police pursuit, officers successfully stopped the vehicle and took Dell Aquilla into custody. During the operation, investigators made a disturbing discovery: his wife was found inside the car and was allegedly being held against her will.
The case has drawn significant attention due to the suspect’s alleged ties to organized crime and the circumstances surrounding his arrest. U.S. authorities have launched additional investigations into potential crimes committed on American soil.
Dell Aquilla remains in federal custody while legal proceedings continue. In addition to possible immigration-related charges in the United States, he is also expected to face scrutiny regarding the allegations pending against him in Brazil.
The arrest may lead to international cooperation between U.S. and Brazilian authorities, including potential extradition proceedings. Officials have not yet released further details regarding the timeline of any transfer request.
The investigation remains ongoing as authorities work to determine the full extent of the suspect’s activities and the circumstances surrounding the alleged kidnapping.
